New Pattern: Arrowhead Shawl! (Plus giveaway!)

I’m very pleased to announce the release of my newest pattern, Arrowhead Shawl!!

You can find it available to purchase on Ravelry here.

I know I’ve been talking about it for quite a while, but it is finally done!! Hooray!! And fully pattern tested thanks to the generosity and patience of threeprettyposies. You can see her beautiful version and notes of the shawl here! Thanks again, threeprettyposies!!

Here’s some more information about the shawl– construction, etc– from the Ravelry pattern page:

Arrowhead Shawl is a simple, top-down triangular shawl using just over one skein of sock yarn. It is broken into three main sections: the top and the bottom are fun and easy lace arrowhead designs, while the center panel is an original motif of three complete arrows– six total– that stretch around the middle of the shawl!

The pattern is fully charted with some— but not many!– written instructions. It has also been fully pattern tested. The center chart of the complete arrows– chart 4– is extremely large. It has been broken down into two pieces within the pattern PDF, but there is also a separate PDF to download of just that chart in case you need it.

Arrowhead Shawl is complex enough to give more experienced knitters something to enjoy, while also simple enough for a intermediate knitter to tackle. Because of some of the row counting, etc, involved with the charts– especially the center panel– it is not recommended for beginning lace/shawl knitters.

Like I said, you can purchase the pattern here!!

Anyway, the part you’ve been waiting for: The Giveaway!!

It’s really, really simple because I like simple and I’m also not super into this whole “share this a million times to get extra votes!!” thingy. First of all, it’s too much work for you. Second of all, that would mean more math and record keeping for me. And I only like math that involves fiber.

So, here’s the prize:

A free PDF copy of Arrowhead Shawl of your very own!!

And here be the rules:

  • Comment below. Just say something nice. You don’t have to gush about the shawl, but more than just a “ME!” would be appreciated. :)
  • In your comment also leave me some way to contact you. It has to be email or a Ravelry user name ’cause I don’t have any other social media profile to reach you through! If you do email, don’t forget to attempt to foil the spambots by writing it out with an AT and DOT.
  • If you don’t leave me a way to contact you, I’m not counting your entry. Sorry!!
  • Entries are due in no later than March 31, 2014 11:59pm Central Time. The drawing will be held– using a random number generator– on April 1, 2014 and the winner will be contacted and announced that day. (And no, it won’t be an April Fool’s joke. That would just be mean!)

That’s it. Easy peasy.

Oh, and if you do feel like sharing the giveaway information on other sites/social media/whathaveyous, please feel free to do so!! It gives you good karma points if nothing else!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

The contest is over. You can find information about the winner here!

    1. Thank you!! It’s actually a custom dye: Strawberry Cream (the original yarn color) overdyed Jacquard Sunny Yellow. It wasn’t the color I expected, but I really love it nonetheless!

    1. Thank you!! (Pssst, if you want to enter the contest you still have to write down your user name on Ravelry… even if I know who you are. Just to be fair since it is in the rules. :P)

  1. To be honest, I think you look darn cute in all of those pictures, Yellow looks great on you. :)
and because I always like to enter things..
